Feigenholtz honored for commitment to innovation, patient safety in life sciences

SPRINGFIELD – State Senator Sara Feigenholtz (D-Chicago) was honored with a leadership coin from the Illinois Biotechnology Industry Organization (iBIO) Tuesday for her commitment to promoting innovation and patient safety in the field of life science.

“I’m honored to be chosen by the iBIO as a recipient of one of their leadership coins,” Feigenholtz said. “Our state’s life sciences industry provides critical research and discoveries that improve the lives of countless patients.I look forward to continuing to work with the iBIO and other industry stakeholders to foster innovation throughout Illinois.”

iBIO is a life sciences industry association that represents 85,000 life sciences employees at companies, universities, service providers and venture firms across the state.
The association’s leadership coins are awarded each year to elected officials who support the Illinois life sciences industry.
