Each year, our office organizes a Summer Food Drive benefitting the Common Pantry. We collaborated with Representative Ann Williams, Alderman Matt Martin, Alderman Tom Tunney, and Cook County Commissioner Bridget Degnen to collect donations from across the city — including donations from those who joined us for our Summer Yoga in the Park series.
Senator Feigenholtz and Representative Williams recently went to the Common Pantry to drop off all the donations and meet with Executive Director Margaret O’Conor. We donated over 130 pounds of food, all given by our community members.
Common Pantry accepts donations at any time. If you would like to use their services, they offer walk-in hours from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays. To see more of the services Common Pantry provides click HERE.
